Featuring
Extensive Reporting
VaSTiV Order Entry
System [VOESys(sm)] accepts product orders that a factory
can
manufacture. It transforms accepted product orders into
factory floor orders that can be manufactured, packed and shipped
to the applicable addresses. VOESys determines whether the orders
are for manual or automated manufacturing processes, based upon
the Factory Setup. (see below)
Late Bound Data Pipes provide
a clean, direct interface to any high-powered host software
product, e.g., the
VaSTiV Dynamic
Scheduler (sm). A host
software product, such as VaSTiV Dynamic Scheduler can, pick
up factory floor orders from the VOESys with a single click of
the mouse button and therefore ensure tight
integration.
Extensive reports provide
management reporting and control of Factory Setup
and Order Entry, minimizing variability in both order entry and
manufacturing processes.
Factory
Setup
Enables an administrator
to set up (add, edit or delete) :
- Factory.
Name,
address, telephone, fax, sales tax, and other essential
information. (Allows for the factory to be relocated
without traumatic changes in software)
- Customers.
Billing
and multiple shipping addresses. No known limit on
shipping addresses for each billing address.
- Sales persons.
Qualified
sales people as assigned to Customers.
- Product
Configuration profiles. By each product. Includes
minimum, suggested and maximum order quantities. Unit
pricing, subassembly, workstation information is also
included and is fully coordinated with the Production Lot
profiles. (see below)
- Production Lot
Profiles. By product lines and lot sizes within
product lines. Includes subassembly, workstation
information. Lot size could as little as ONE unit.
Product lot profiles include manufacturing process
profiles to determine manual or automated
processes.
- Product
pricing.
Unit pricing with minimum, suggested and maximum
quantities.
Order
Entry
Orders can be
entered
- Factory.
Name,
address, telephone, fax, sales tax, and other essential
information. (Allows for the factory to be relocated
without traumatic changes in software)
- Customers.
Billing
and multiple shipping addresses. No known limit on
shipping addresses for each billing address.
- Manually.
Product,
quantity, known billing and shipping addresses. VOESys
ensures entry of acceptable orders only.
- Electronically.
Order
data may be imported from a mainframe as a captured
text file. VOESys accepts or rejects orders based
upon Product Lot Profiles knowledge entered in the
Factory Setup.
Management
Reports
- Order Amounts.
Lists
Order amounts for each by product line and by each
product.
- Sales Analysis.
Lists
product revenue profile, prioritized by each
products revenue contribution. Factory managers can
immediately view the 80% cumulative revenue line for the
entire sets of orders. Also useful to product line
management.
Operations
Reports
Factory
- Authorization Form to commit orders to
production. Includes Submitted, Reviewed
and
Approved by signatures. Manufacturing Authorization
Number must be issued and annotated on this form at this
point. VOESys will later request this number and would
not commit anything to production without the
Manufacturing Authorization Number. This enables
management to control the processes more
effectively.
- Authorization Form for Product
Configuration Profiles. Includes Submitted,
Reviewed and Approved by signatures. Pricing
approvals and lot sizes are controlled with this
process.
- Authorization Form for Production Lot
Profiles. Includes Submitted, Reviewed and
Approved by signatures. Coordination with the Product
Configuration is controlled via this process.
- Authorization Form for Workstation
Profiles. Includes Submitted, Reviewed and
Approved by signatures. Profiles delineating
workstation assignments are controlled via this
process.
Orders
- Duplicate Orders. May be viewed by
management and then accepted if genuine or
rejected.
- Orders Rejected. Electronically
received orders from a mainframe may contain errors. This
report provides the ability to retrace the steps back to
mainframe and have the orders corrected.
Companion
Product
VaSTiV Dynamic Scheduler
features the ability to
plan, produce and monitor manufacturing processes through
Fabrication and
Shipping. VOESys may be installed on a remote personal
computer, yet it provides a Direct Multi-Channel Data Pipe to
VaSTiV Dynamic Scheduler. The Data Pipe enables the Factory
Floor Orders to be captured into VaSTiV Dynamic Scheduler with a
single
mouse-click from a remote location, i.e.,
over a Local Area Network (LAN).
Economic
Benefits
- Reduced Operating Costs. Using
documented processes reduces false starts and provides
for a smoother running factory operation.
- Saving in Management Time. Various
reports result in a smoother operation requiring less
direct management interaction, saving expensive
management time. Management reports are detailed enough
to satisfy audit requirements, to ensure good security
and thus reduce direct management involvement.
- Quality. Manufacturing Process
variability via human intervention (operators, etc.) is
reduced.
