VaSTiV integrates Knowledge from many forms of input. Nearly all of the knowledge is transmitted to VaSTiV in electronic form, with hard printed copies providing an audit trail.

- Word processor
- Spreadsheet
- Database
- Scanned hard copy or transcribed interviews
Mostly, the gathered knowledge is a combination of all of the above.
