EXTERNALLY imposed RULES
An Example :
A registered professional engineer designs electrical system for a building that must comply with:
- National Electrical CodeŽ (a registered trademark of National Fire Protection Association)
- Manufacturers specifications of their model numbers, such as a fuse model number and its over-current protection graphs published by each manufacturer for each of their models.
- American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standards
- Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) Standards
- Rules of basic physics of electrical engineering with its complex formulae.
Regulatory compliance may also be required by governmental agencies such as OSHA, EPA, etc.
How about thinking about your own examples of EXTERNALLY imposed rules, imposed upon you by forces beyond your control?
